Study Breaks

Study Breaks are hosted at various times throughout the semester to allow students to take a break from their workload and to relax and interact with other students.

Events vary every semester but one constant is Nerf gun capture-the-flag in the engineering school. If you would enjoy exploring the engineering school late at night with a Nerf gun and the opportunity to shoot your fellow students (and occasionally professors), then this is the event to attend. Over the years, we have established our own collection of Nerf-like products so if you don’t have your own, feel free to come and borrow one of ours..

Other past events have included laser tag, a trip to IHOP, eating Thanksgiving treats, getting a pinata, bowling, visiting the top of Brookings Hall, and a lunch outing to the Zoo. We are always looking for new ideas and ways to improve these outings. We try to keep them free and open to as many students as possible. Although some of the planning is already underway, if you have any suggestions, as always, we would love to hear them. We hope to decide these events and post them on the calendar as well as announce them at general body meetings. We hope you will enjoy these times to relax and unwind!
