Engineering Projects Review Board
The Engineering Projects Review Board (EPRB) is a student advisory committee that works with the School of Engineering to allocate funds for undergraduate student group projects.
The Board considers several characteristics when rating a proposal. A strong proposal affects a wide variety of people, both within the project and on a larger, community-wide scale. The project should also add value to the engineering educational experience. Value could be added through either practical engineering experience or through the development of soft skills, such as leadership. Another factor that helps a proposal succeed is having a dedicated student and faculty involvement. Competent leadership can make the difference between success and failure, and the Board would like to back projects that will be seen through to completion. Finally, groups should be actively fundraising. A project should not rely solely on money from the Board and Student Union. Alternative procurement of funds could include direct fundraising efforts by students or corporate sponsorships.
The Board is here to help your group through the application process. If you have any questions or feel that any requirements are unclear, please do not hesitate in contacting us. We can be reached via e-mail at wustl.eprb@gmail.com. All relevant documents are available below.
Applications and proposals for funding for spring 2010 projects will be due on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at 11:59 pm. First round presentations will begin on November 30.
